Garlock Gasket Products

Garlock offers a wide range of materials, including compressed fiber, restructured PTFE and non-asbestos gasketing options.

The function of a high-performance gasket is the ability to seal between two surfaces. Sometimes selecting the correct gasket material is not as simple as you may think. The difference in flange connections is unlimited and must be taken into consideration to assure a proper seal.

Equipment is forever changing which makes the selection of the new seal so very important. Gaskets that were suitable for applications yesterday may not be the best for today. Garlock engineers will provide technical assistance so that the right choice is made each and every time.

Garlock has invested in modernization throughout their facilities and so has Rapid Die-Cut. Our facility is immaculate and our employees embrace this concept towards the manufacturing of quality parts. We have all the best equipment in order to produce top quality Garlock gaskets.

Please refer to the technical data sheets (PDF’s) for detailed material properties. Also, go to www.garlock.com for additional technical information regarding your material selection.

BLUE-GARD® GASKET LINE offers a variety of blends using aramid fibers and elastomers that provide remarkable sealibility. The elastomeric binders provide enhanced torque retention and considerably lower emission levels. These high-quality gasket materials last longer than our competitor’s brand, which reduces downtime and lower costs overall.

GYLON® & GYLON EPIX® cover a wide range of gaskets due to the mixing and specialty process of the PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and fillers that escalate the tensile properties. The mixing process created more consistency within a sheet and improved physical properties, which expands the selection and usage of PTFE gaskets.

GYLON® Style 3500 is derived from silica filled PTFE and designed to resist acids, solvents, hydrocarbons and other aggressive media. GYLON temperature ranges from -450 F to +500 F (Color: Fawn) Thicknesses: .063” (1/16”) & .125” (1/8”).

GYLON® Style 3504 is derived from aluminosilicate microsphere filled PTFE. It is designed for use in many acids, some caustics, hydrocarbons and refrigerants. GYLON temperature ranges from -450 F to +500 F (Color: Blue) Thicknesses: .063” (1/16”) & .125” (1/8”).

GYLON® Style 3510 is derived from barium sulfate filled PTFE and designed for use in strong caustics and toxic chemicals, such as chlorine, ammonia, and phosgene, where initiating and maintaining an extremely tight seal is critical. GYLON temperature ranges from -450 F to +500 F (Color: Off White). Thicknesses: .063” (1/16”) & .125” (1/8”).

GYLON EPIX® Style 3500 is derived from silica filled PTFE and designed to resist acids, solvents, hydrocarbons, chlorine and cryogenics. GYLON EPIX temperature ranges from -450 F to +500 F (Color: Fawn) Thickness: .094” (3/32).

HIGH TEMPERATURE GASKET LINE is composed of graphite or carbon fibers allowing it to withstand extreme conditions. These high temperature gaskets have passed in-house fire tests and is ABS Fire Safe Type Approved. This gasket line maintains its seal during pressure and temperature fluctuations, reducing leakage and maintenance.

HIGH TEMPERATURE STYLE 9800 is a high temperature gasket composed of carbon fibers with an SRB rubber binder. This material will resist saturated steam, water and insert gases. Temperatures can range from -100 F to 9000 F (color: Black) Thicknesses of .063" and .125".

HIGH TEMPERATURE STYLE 9900 is a high temperature gasket composed of graphite fibers with a nitrile binder. This material will resist saturated steam, water, insert gases, aliphatic hydrocarbons, oil, gasoline and refrigerants. Temperatures can range from -100 F  to 1000 F (Color: Mahogany) Thicknesses of .063" and .125".
